Mr.Bond® Masking Tape is a pressure-sensitive tape for painters, carpenters and general workshop use. It holds the substrate firmly, is residue free, tears easily from the roll and is writable, which is the set of properties a masking tape is judged on. Typical applications are paint masking, sunmica and laminate pasting on doors, almirahs and other furniture, construction site work, and car body repair and painting; it is also used widely in the shoe industry for reinforcements. Pressure-sensitive means the tape bonds under hand pressure alone, with no heat, water or solvent needed, so it can be applied, worked against and removed within the same job. If your process puts heat into the masked part, ask for the high temperature grade specifically when you enquire, and mention the temperature and dwell time.
